A: Our product offering is tried and tested specifically for the export Mustang as driven in Australian conditions. Being local, we're based right here in Australia in the event of any warranty issues.
We regularly ship parts from the US to our Melbourne warehouse for local fitting and distribution. All of our prices are landed costs in Australia including dollar conversion, freight from the US, customs duty and GST. This means the price you see on our website is the price you pay!
Q: How long will it take for delivery of parts I have ordered?
A: If the parts are 'in stock' at the checkout delivery within Australia will usually be 2-7 working days. Parts not in stock that are backordered will be shipped from Mustang Motorsport when they arrive from the US - usually around 8 weeks from order date.
Q: Are the Shelby builds real genuine Shelbys?
A: Yes. We are the Australian Authorised Shelby Mod Shop. This means we transform your standard Mustang into one of Shelby American's vehicles with all genuine components to Shelby America’s standards.
Q: Will My new Shelby be part of the Shelby Registry?
A: Yes, your new Shelby build will receive a genuine unique Shelby CSM build number and will be added to the Shelby Registry with your name and vehicle details.
Q: Can I make changes to my Shelby build and Shelby Registry information?
A: Yes, If you change or modify a part on your Shelby with new Shelby components you may add this information to the registry. Every update adds a little bit of history to your Shelby Mustang.
Q: How far in advance should I order and book my Mustang to be upgraded into a Shelby?
A: Your Shelby Mustang needs to be ordered and deposit paid 3 months in advance. We will book in an exact start date for the upgrade approximately 4 weeks in advance.
Q: How long does it take to upgrade my Mustang into a Shelby?
A: We are allowing 4 week turnaround from the start date.
Q: Why does it take so long?
A: Shelby Vehicles are built to order, the process of ordering, component production and shipping takes time. The lead time may reduce in the future.
Q: Can I purchase Shelby upgrades individually?
A: No, most of the Shelby upgrades are Build specific and can only be purchased with a genuine Shelby Build.
Q: Do the upgrades effect my New Car Warranty?
A: Yes, any component we change or affect by upgrades will no longer be covered by the factory Ford warranty. We offer an optional driveline warranty for our Roush Phase1 627hp Supercharger upgrade and Shelby 650hp Supercharger upgrade.
Q: Can I Build a ROUSH RS3?
A: Mustang Motorsport are a ROUSH authorised distributer, and we are authorised by ROUSH to sell their components. This means we cannot sell a Roush RS3 Vehicle Package. We have created the MM-R627 package which upgrades the performance and style to the ROUSH RS3’s level, with refinements from our experience and local knowledge.
Q: What is the difference between a ROUSH RS3 and a MM-R627?
A: The MM-R627 shares a lot of components with the RS3 but adds suspension and performance tweaks that suit Australian conditions. The MM-R627 also comes with its own badging and Build number.
Q: Can I just buy ROUSH body components on their own?
A: Yes, we have ROUSH’s full parts catalogue you can purchase any item individually in the parts store.
