Tuesday | Prologue
The lads were up early today - can't have them getting too much sleep! After the driver briefing at 7.15am we headed off to Georgetown for our blast around the local streets in the Prologue. This part of the event is to obtain our starting order, and has no effect on the actual event times.
Graham called the shots and I dodged them! We got around the track in 3min 30 sec, which was 15 seconds off the lead time. This put us in position 208 - it is important for us not to win this part of the event, as by placing first you end up at the end of the field in the running order. We have been as high as 4th in the past, and it is not the place to be. You have no time to do anything as the Targa officials are wanting to re-open the roads as soon as they can. Even stopping for a toilet break is impossible!
We're looking good, and can't wait to get out there tomorrow and reallt stretch the legs of the Beast, so stay tuned!
Until tomorrow,
Craig Dean.
