The First Mustang Motorsport Track Day at Phillip Island

Following the success of previous Mustang Motorsport track days at Sandown Raceway, Mustang Motorsport is heading to one of Australia’s most iconic circuits for its first Mustang Motorsport Track Day at Phillip Island, in collaboration with Drive Events.

This is your opportunity to take your Mustang onto the legendary Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit and experience your car in a safe, controlled motorsport environment.

The weekend offers two ways to get involved: use Saturday as a dedicated practice day to prepare for the main event, then join us on Sunday for the exclusive Mustang Motorsport Sprint, featuring dedicated sessions and competition.

This is still A Fun day and we encourage First timers and anyone who wants to experience Phillip Island in your Mustang to sign up and Join the fun!!

🏁 Weekend Format

Saturday 14 November – Practice Day

Use Saturday to get familiar with the Phillip Island circuit, refine your setup and build confidence ahead of Sunday's main event.

  • SuperSprint practice sessions
  • Optional Drive Events Driver Training / Race School
  • Ideal opportunity to learn the circuit before Sunday's competition
  • 6 × 15-minute track sessions
  • Sessions grouped by speed for safety and enjoyment

Saturday can be booked on its own or combined with Sunday's Mustang Motorsport Sprint as a weekend package.

🏆 Sunday 15 November – Mustang Motorsport Sprint

The main event of the weekend!

Sunday will feature a special Mustang Motorsport Sprint, with exclusive Mustang Motorsport sessions and competition incorporated into the Drive Events Super Sprint.

Expect dedicated track time, timed competition and the opportunity to put your Mustang and your driving skills to the test around Phillip Island.

Only Sunday lap times count toward competition results.

Competition:

Mustang Motorsport – Mustang Category

Fastest lap wins—no matter what you drive.

  • Trophies & prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd In the Mustang Category.

Handicap Competition – Rest of the Field

Two categories:

  • Cars over $75,000 – based on RedBook value + penalty points
  • Cars under $75,000 – based on RedBook value + penalty points

Trophies & prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd in each category.

Full competition details are contained in the supplementary regulations.

Who Can Enter:

Road Registered & Full Race Cars are permitted

Drivers must hold a Motorsport Australia Speed Licence. Single-event licences are available.

*If we have a large number of “race cars” entered we will split the competition between Street & Track.

Track Time

  • 6 × 15-minute sessions each day
  • Groups separated by speed for safety and enjoyment
  • Clear, easy overtaking rules
  • Saturday sessions are available as practice
  • Sunday sessions form part of the Mustang Motorsport Sprint and Drive Events competition
  • Only Sunday lap times count toward competition results
