This 1.0kg Haigh Fire Extinguishers has been specially paired with a mounting bracket made specifically for the 2015-22 Mustangs and has been made in-house by our expert team at Mustang Motorsport right here in Melbourne!
Powder or dry chemical extinguishers are effective in putting out or containing a large variety of fires. They utilise a specially fluidised and siloconised mono ammonium phosphate. This chemically insulates Class A fires by melting at approximately 177°C and coating the surface to which it is applied. It smothers and breaks the chain reaction of Class B fires and will not conduct electricity back to the operator. This fire extinguisher is the most appropriate choice for the home, office, workshop, and your Mustang - especially when you're throwing it around a track!
This Kit is intended for mounting on the front driver's seat, or front passenger seat floor. Compatible with both LHD and RHD Mustangs, this is a fantastic solution to any track days you have coming up, or if you just want that peace of mind of a fire extinguisher when driving!
NOTE: Due to safety regulations, these fire extinguishers kits CANNOT be posted. Local Pickup ONLY. Otherwise we recommend purchasing the bracket separately by clicking here, and then purchasing your extinguisher locally.

Do fire extinguishers have an expiry date?
As per an Australian Standard requirement, fire extinguishers have a manufacture date stamped into the body. There is actually no expiry date on the fire extinguishers. Portable fire extinguishers are typically serviced in accordance with AS1851, which requires a five yearly hydro-static pressure testing (six-yearly if using AS 1851-1995). Tests should be carried out based on the date of manufacture rather than the date of the purchase or installation of the extinguisher. Extinguishers that are pressure tested are then marked and future pressure tests are carried out based on the date of the last hydro-static pressure test. For some consumers, the cost of testing may be more expensive than simply purchasing a new extinguisher.
